Van Gogh Museum

An art museum located at the Museum Square is dedicated to the works of Vincent Van Gogh and his colleagues in Amsterdam. Van Gogh Museum was opened on 2 June 1973 and holds the largest collection of Gogh’s drawings and paintings in the world. The building which houses these artistic works was designed by Kisho Kurokawa and Gerrit Rietveld. The museum is one of the most visited museums in Netherlands with a total of 1.9 million visitors in 2015. Van Gogh Museum is ranked as the 31st most visited art museum globally.
